He has conducted projects in General Electric, Mercedes-Benz and Citibank, among others. His clients also include a broad spectrum of public and supranational organizations around the world.

EDI recent projects include the design, development and delivery of the New Business Leader (NBL) Program for Ford Motor Company, covering 2000 executives around the world in 16 months. The unique design included high potential executives as Leader-Teachers in partnership with one of six EDI senior consultants.

The Program was Action-Learning based and was featured in Fast Company in April 2000 as a Corporate Best Practice in training and development. EDI has been also designing, developing and delivering the building blocks of General Mills’ corporate curriculum: the New Manager Development Program and the Experience Manager Development Program.

Mr. Gómez adapted and implemented GE’s Work-Out, the Organizational Transformation initiative (see The GE Work-Out, McGraw Hill, 2002) to their operations in Latin America and Spain. He also transferred this process successfully to FIAT and Mercedes-Benz operations in Brazil.

One of the EDI’s organizational Interventions is the Leadership of Change Process, comprised by a series of workshops addressing the key executives of his clients around the world. Results include: a computerized feedback document assessing participants’ ability to introduce profound change successfully in the organization; and a blueprint for a change agenda, indicating the specific areas of concentration to increase the global competitiveness of the client. Users of this process include: Hilton International, Xerox Corp., Black & Decker Corp., Pfizer, CPC, AVIANCA, Mercedes-Benz Brazil, Banco Do Nordeste Brazil and The Central Mortgage Bank in Colombia.

Based in Stamford, CT, USA - Mr. Gómez has undertaken assignments in the United States, Europe, Asia and Latin America working in English, Spanish and Portuguese.

His corporate experience includes GE at the John F. Welch Leadership Development Center (Crotonville) as Global Leader of Educational Projects, Xerox in the United States and Latin America; Exxon and the Peace Corps in his country of origin, Colombia.
