Dwight L. Jaggard, Ph.D.Political Savvy Certified TrainerDr. Jaggard is Professor of Electrical and Systems Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania, and is a Fellow of the Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers and the Optical Society of America. Professor Jaggard received his Ph.D. from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), and has published some 110 scientific papers, presented over 185 scientific talks, is a book editor and the author of numerous book chapters, and holds five patents. Professor Jaggard was the first director (1988 - 1990) of the joint Wharton Business School/Penn Engineering Executive Master’s in Technology Management (EMTM) program at the University of Pennsylvania. The EMTM program is now the premier program of its type in the US. Professor Jaggard’s management and business consulting expertise, as well as much of his teaching in the EMTM program, has been in leadership development, team building, executive coaching, and enhancing influence and communications. He has served as a management or technical consultant to US and European industry and government, and is the co-founder of a high-technology US company. He has successfully given numerous leadership, communications and team building seminars to both academe and industry. His blend of scientific and interpersonal skills provides an ideal background for working with individuals and groups in technology-driven organizations where he spends much of his consulting time.
